    1. Description – top

    Adminyo is the first WordPress Plugin that focuses on enhancing the WordPress Admin area. It’s not just a plugin, it’s a toolbox that will be constantly updated with new functions.

    Whether you are a blogger, an e-commerce shop admin, website developer or even a simple website owner, we all want to work faster and more efficient with the WordPress admin. With that in mind we have added to the classic Admin area that we all are used to a new set of cool functions that will allow you to be 100% more efficient.

    2. Installation – top

    Some guidlines to help you release the Adminyo Powers.
    Below you have the 3 Steps Installation process for our plugin.

    1. Add new Plugin in WordPress
    2. First of all you have to install the Adminyo Plugin. To do that you have to go to your website, WordPress Admin area. On the left you have the Admin Menu and there go to the Plugins > Add New link.

    3. Upload the new Plugin
    4. Click the “Upload” link on the Plugins page to load the plugin installation page. Next, click the “Choose File” button to locate the adminyo.zip file that you just downloaded. Select the file, and then click the “Install Now” button to upload the plugin. Once the plugin has been fully uploaded, click the “Activate Plugin” link to activate the plugin.

    5. Go to Adminyo settings
    6. Affter activation, in the top area will appera an alert box confirming the proper activation and there click Go to Adminyo settings. Or just go in the WordPress Admin Menu > Adminyo.

      To get yourself familiarised with the Adminyo features just scroll further.

    3. Features: Pin to Dashboard – top

    Shortcuts to Dashboard
    Regardless of whether we speak about blogs or eCommerce websites that need daily updates, or websites under development, we all want the fastest way possible to access Custom Post Types (e.g. Posts, Pages, Products, and so on). You can directly edit them, view them or see some info’s about them (e.g. Views, Comments, Author and so on).

    1. Dashbord Pin Zone
    2. Pin to Dashboard is the tool that allows you to create a shortcut to a current Custom Post Type (e.g. Posts, Pages, Products and so on) directly on the Welcome area of the Dashboard. In other words, after you login to admin, you can instantly start working. Each user can create his own set of pins independent from other users.

    3. Order your Pins with Drag and Drop
    4. You can reorder your Pins with Drag and Drop. A simple method that allows you to reorder your Pins depending on their importance.

    5. Sort your Pins on the Dashboard by type or search them by title
    6. When you have pinned multiple post types on your Dashboard, and the list gets big, you can now use the new Sort Pins option. You can use the given filter or you can search by title.

    7. Pins Info
    8. Info button on pin cards which displays quick info such as number of comments, author, views and so on. Depending on the the custom post type, each card displays different information. For example a product pin card will display information such as: stock quantity, sales number, status, rating, number of comments or views.

    9. Now you can easily see your custom post type, Last Modified Date
    10. When you work with a lot of posts or pages and you have them all pinned to your dashboard, it can be hard to identify the last post you have worked on. Now you can use the info button and the last modified date will be displayed. This tool has been developed from the great idea of our friend Randy Brown from randyabrown.com as well.

    11. Pins Columns
    12. In every Custom Post Types (e.g. Posts, Pages, Products …) listings page you will find at the right side a new column named Pins. This is the first way you can Pin or UnPin any of the Posts, Pages, Products you’ve pinned.

    13. Pin from Quick Search
    14. Another way you can Pin or UnPin a Custom Post Type is directly form the Quick Search by clicking the Pin icon that is also highlighted in the image below.

    15. Pin from the Floating Action Button
    16. The Custom Post Types can be also Pin or UnPin from the Floating Action Button that can be found at the bottom right corner of your screen (as it can be seen in the image below). So at any time you will be able to create shortcuts.

    17. Remove Welcome Links
    18. You can clean the Default Welcome Panel Links if you are not using them. This way you will enjoy a clean Pin Zone. You can do this from the Adminyo settings tab in your Admin area (as you can see in the image below).

    19. Your Pin’s on the Admin Bar
    20. We add to the top Admin Bar, Your Pins area. Now you can access your favorite Pins from any were, even from the Front End.

    21. You can color coded your Pins
    22. For a fast identification of your Pins, you can use the material design colors to find them faster or to mark your development progress of a post or a page.

    3.1 How to use Pin to Dashboard – top

    Adminyo offers you the option to PIN your post types from 3 different places, and it also supports CPT’s (Custom Post Types).

    1. Pin from post, pages, products or any Custom Post Types, list columns.
    2. On the right side of the list pages, we have added a column named Pins. From here you can easily pin or unpin your content. It will create a shortcut on your Dashboard for quick access.

    3. Pin from Quick Search
    4. The Quick Search will instantly provide you with the results of your query and you can decide if you want to pin one of the results to your Dashboard directly from the search result display. All you have to do is to click the pin icon located beside the search result and it will create a shortcut on your Dashboard for quick access.

    5. Pin from the Floating Action Button
    6. The Floating Action Button that we have added to the bottom right corner of the page lets you pin your post, page or product while editing your content. All you have to do is to click the pin icon and it will create a shortcut on your Dashboard for quick access.

    The post status (pinned or unpinned) it’s indicated by it’s icon that can be found within the Pins column.
    Once you’ve pinned a post, you will instantly get a card on your dashboard (inside the Welcome Panel) with your post information.
    To delete a pin you can click on the pin button again or press the “X” button from the card. Also you can see some info’s about them (e.g. Views, Comments, Author and so on), by pressing the “i” button.

    You can also filter pins when viewing lists by clicking on the Pins link.

    * All of the features of Pin to Dashboard can be activated or deactivated from WordPress Admin Menu > Adminyo.

    4. Features: Quick Search – top

    HyperSpeed access to Posts, Pages, Products or any Custom Post Types
    Right now accessing your posts, pages or products is really time consuming as it involves several steps in order to be able to edit them. We believe in smart usage of your time so we have introduced the Quick Search. A search option that allows you to search within your Posts, Pages, Products or any Custom Post Types you have, all at the same time and instantly allows you to edit, view or pin them to your dashboard.

    1. Instant access to any Custom Post Types you have (eg. Posts, Pages, Products, Users and so on) at any time!
    2. Quick Search is, literally, a Real Time Search engine at top of your page. This allows you to search and instantly edit, view or pin all the Custom Post Types you have (eg. Posts, Pages, Products, Users, Comments and so on), directly from the results list, at anytime and from anywhere.

    3. Products Quick Search works only with WooCommerce
    4. The Products Quick Search is available only if WooCommerce is installed. This triggers or disables the products category in the search engine.

    5. Make Quick Search Float
    6. For a busy modus operandi trigger (Toggle “Make search float” from Off to On). Make search float for the search bar to be displayed ready at hand at all times.

    7. Toggle Quick Search & (ctrl+Q)
    8. If you want, you can have the Quick Search bar accessible any time, width out taking any extra space. You can use the Admin Bar at the top to toggle the Quick Search bar, or by using the shortcut key ctrl+Q.

    4.1 How to use Quick Search – top

    The Quick Search bar is available at the top of any page in your WordPress admin. While you type in your search query (even from the first letter), results from within your posts, pages, products or any other Custom Post Types will be provided instantly. You will then have the option to edit, view or pin any of them.

    * All of the features of Quick Search can be activated or deactivated from WordPress Admin Menu > Adminyo.

    5. Features: Floating Action Button – top

    Update, Preview, Pin your Posts, really easy, no matter the size of the Post
    Update, Preview or Pin your Posts really easy no matter the size of your Post. If you have a long post or you use a page builder plugin, for sure you have noticed that you have to scroll to top of the page so you can preview or update your changes. So, the way we act and the time we spend to access a function is reflected in the total time we assign to a project.

    1. Important actions at you finger tip, regardless of where you are in the post
    2. The floating action button is located on the lower right side of the screen and it includes useful actions like: Page Update, Page Preview, Pin to Dashboard and Back to Top.

    3. Go to Top or Bottom of the page with Floating Action Button
    4. This tool got born due to a special request from our friend Randy Brown from randyabrown.com. Now you can scroll to Bottom of the page. When you hover your mouse over the scroll to top icon, the scroll to bottom icon appears next to it giving you the option to scroll to the bottom of the page. It also supports smooth scroll now.

    5. Display After Scroll
    6. The Floating Action Button is appearing only after you start to scroll.

    7. Save as Draft direct from the Floating Action Button
    8. This tool was created also from a special request from our friend Randy Brown. You can now Save as Draft your ongoing, long work, Post or Page or any Custom Post Type directly from the Floating Action Button.

    9. Duplicate your current Post, Page, Products or any Custom Post Type
    10. The Floating Action Button now can help you even more. Use the Duplicate button so you do not have to start from scratch on your new Post, Page or Product.

    11. Hold Click on left mouse button to make the Floating Action Button appear
    12. This is the latest tool we have entered as an alternative use for Floating Action Button. This is the coolest way between us at the office to use the Floating Action Button .

    5.1 How to use the Floating Action Button – top

    The Floating Action Button is available in any Edit Page of your Custom Post Types (posts, pages, products …) at the bottom right corner. When pressed you will have the option to easily update, view, pin your post, page or product page or go back to top of the Edit Page.

    * The Floating Action Button can be activated or deactivated from WordPress Admin Menu > Adminyo.

    6. Features: Misc Tools – top

    More useful tools
    In this area you can find all kinds of additional useful tools, like …

    1. Create menu Hotkeys (hold ALT + CTRL and click any link from admin menu or admin bar. Then use ALT + Selected Key to engage.)
    2. Use this option to create shortcuts to any links from the Admin Menu or the Admin Menu Bar. To create a shortcut you simply hold the ALT + CTRL key pressed and then click on the link you want to shortcut. A pop-up will appear asking you for the key you want to assign. Then use ALT + Selected Key to engage.

    3. ctrl+S = Update for Custom Post Types
    4. Use the Adminyo shortcut key so you can instantly update your page or save any plugin settings page. This feature is made especially for the developers that love using this shortcut.

    5. Auto Collapse Admin Menu
    6. If you want your work space to be clean and your attention to be focused on your work area only you can toggle “Auto Collapse menu” from Off to On. This will collapse the menu on the left side when it’s not needed or you are not using it. The menu automatically expands when the mouse pointer is over it.

    7. Hide Menu, Completely
    8. This will hide the menu completely on the left side when it is not needed or it is not worked upon. it’s not needed or you are not using it. The menu automatically expands when the mouse pointer is over the left side of the browser.

    9. Portability is easy with Adminyo
    10. If you want to keep your setup of Ayo Tools on all your websites you are working on, just go at the bottom of the settings and export your settings. All you have to do is to import them into the new website and you are ready to go.

    11. Adminyo is Multisite Friendly
    12. It’s really really really easy, just Activate the New Multisite Option if you are using Adminyo on a Multisite. Enjoy Adminyo on all of your websites.

    6.1 How to use the Misc Tools – top

    This tools are made so you can use the WordPress Admin even faster.

    1. Create Menu Hotkeys, really really easy!
    2. To create a shortcut you simply hold the ALT + CTRL key pressed and then click on the link you want to shortcut. A pop-up will appear asking you for the key you want to assign. Then use ALT + Selected Key to engage.

    3. ctrl+S = Update for Custom Post Types
    4. To use ctrl+S, all you have to do is to mage sure he is activate in the Adminyo settings. If it is activated just press the conbination and your Post Types (eg. Posts, Pages, Products, Portfolio Projects …) will be update.

    5. Auto Collapse Admin Menu
    6. After activation you will see that the Admin menu is collapse, if you hover your mouse pointer over it the menu will automatically expand.

    7. Hide Menu, Completely
    8. After activation you will see that the Admin menu Disappears, if you go with the mouse pointer on the left part of the screen, the menu will automatically expand.

    9. Portability is easy with Adminyo
    10. If you want to keep your setup of Ayo Tools on all your websites you are working on, just go at the bottom of the settings and export your settings. All you have to do is to import them into the new website and you are ready to go.
